Restoration done well by the Palace of Monaco
11D engine, more powerful and modern
Prince Rainier indeed had a passion for Traction Avants, especially for their advanced technology.
The model on offer has the 11D engine, launched in 1955 and offers more power - 60bhp. Moreover, its more modern design makes it stronger. For example, its rods mounted on steel pads reinforced the crankshaft.
This car has benefited from a thorough restoration carried out by Le Palais de Monaco in the 1980s, without consideration of cost or time, which is particularly remarkable for a semi-utility. The interior of the car is flawless, with a headliner perfectly taut and the seats are is superb condition.
Simple, unpretentious and black as were the majority of Traction Avant during the 1950s, this Traction 11C represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a commercial version of the most famous of French cars.
