Citroen C-Crosser (2007-2012)

The Citroën C-Crosser is a compact soft-roader 4x4, that’s not a serious mud-plugger, but will rival the likes of the Honda CR-V and Hyundai's Santa Fe.

As always the Citroen features the trademark large double chevron grille and big wraparound headlights with neatly finished aluminium side sills and roof rails to complete the rugged, off road look.

It finally went on sale in the summer of 2007 and was expected to be named the C7but Citroen settled on the C-Crosser as that had been the name of the four-wheel drive concept car that Citroën first displayed in the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Don't forget 7 seats availalbe too!

For: Comfortable and good all-round handling, Powerful and economical 2.2 twin turbo diesel engine, respectable off-road capability, and well equipped.

Against: Strictly for children only in the rearmost two seats. Some reported failures of Clutch and dual mass flywheel when towing due to 1st and 2nd gears being too high for take off under load and can cause some clutch slip. Fluid reservoir for DPF (Diesel particulate filter) regenerating is mounted too close to the rear wishbone where it is unprotected and extremely vulnerable when off roading.
