Chassis No 492 715
End of 1967, the Martinez Brothers have a Citroen 2 CV thats rather special.
On a shortened platform, they have studied and designed a very original car which set out the general shape of the Willys Jeep. The Jeep is the symbol of victory, a myth, an icon. The Martinez Brothers is an expectation of the leisure car. Based in Plan de Grasse on the Cote d'Azur, Settlements Martinez will acquire a small notoriety with this car called Mini Jeep. Production will be aborted with the exit of the Mehari few months later. You can almost consider the Mini Jeep FM as the mother of the Mehari, although it is possible to think that they did not know. Without being specific, production had reached a figure between 20 and 40 copies. There remain a dozen.
Our specimen belongs to a Citroen enthusiast. It’s been his Mini Jeep since 1975. He added that this is a very endearing little car. This Martinez is in very good condition and is in sound operation. The hood is present with its arches. Metal doors are removable from the car and are original. Finished in Khaki colour with its folding windshield, it is clear that this is a very special 2cv, rare and unusual. Citroën lovers do not be deceived.
This is a true 2CV but it is not like others.
