Citroen builds more people carriers than any other manufacturer, with something to suit most tastes and wallets. If value for money and practicality is for you then you will,  like the Nemo Multispace.

This is actually the smallest people mover that Citroen builds and is, unsurprisingly based on the Nemo van. It only  seats four but does so easily which means passengers don't have to struggle to get on board and it's easy to do things like fit baby seats.

Power comes in the form of a 1.4 litre petrol or diesel engines. The later offers excellent economy and emissions.

Although this is Citroen's budget MPV it's not evident in the specification. It's well equipped with front electric windows, a stereo and electrically-adjustable and heated door mirrors as standard. There is optional air-conditioning, Bluetooth and rear parking sensors. The interior plastics may be a little lacking in quality feel but this doesn’t stop it being practical and very hard wearing. Nemo Multispace as workhorse and its  'no-nonsense' design and feel will all be part of its appeal. It may be a little bit of a ‘Marmite’ car when it comes to looks but it’s kind of endearing, smiley and friendly coupled with being fun to drive and not taking itself too seriously.

With a low load platform and some 360-litres of space with seats in position the rear seat-backs have an asymmetric split and fold function, which increases the capacity to a very respectable 890-litres in total. Rear seats can be removed altogether which give a massive 2500 litres of space, albeit whilst turning the multispace into a van!

There are six exterior colours to choose from and all but the Tizano Red are either metallic or pearlescent.

For: Cheap to buy and run, versatile. Neatly styled, lots of headroom in the back amazingly practical.

Against: : Taller drivers will find the front seats cramped and  1.4-litre petrol is sluggish. Turkish build quality issues emerging. Handling is not that good.
